Pre-E3 Announcements!

With E3 only a week away it's no surprise that we've got some spoilers coming out. As the big show gets set up there is always the inevitable cell phone picture leak. The spy-shot from the guy who is stacking the vending machines. The temporary jobs to guard or be a part of the event.

(I personally liked when "Homefront" had N. Korean soldiers guard "free" parking lots)

Not so this year! Fresh out of the kitchen is a trailer for InJustice: Gods Among Us, and a new Gears of War game!
First up is the first look trailer of InJustice: Gods Among Us provided by our friends over at GameSpot.

I have to be honest here, I'm not exactly sure what to think. This game is being made by NetherRealm Studios. The same team that made the critically underrated Mortal Kombat Vs. DC. Safe bet here is that there will NOT be any fatalities since DC pulled the plug on them in the previous game. Good news is that without "Mortal Kombat" in the name this game doesn't have to try to be brutal but it looks like it might still pack one heck of a punch. The other good news is that these may not be the characters DC is so protective of (The Earth 1 heroes). If this is truly the Injustice League at work we are most likely on a parallel Earth where Earths mightiest protectors are kind of assholes. All I know is that if it strays anything close to the tight story and gameplay mechanics featured in the most recent Mortal Kombat (or Mortal Kombat 9 for those who are still counting) I will be buying it.

Not to be overshadowed the cover of a new GameInformer magazine has revealed that there will be a new Gears of War game.
Here we have a gentleman who appears to be in cuffs and is being escorted away from battle. You can see the flying squiddies in the background. It all seems to add up to this fellow being our very own Marcus Fenix. Could this be a prequel since we already have an end for our main characters? It's possible this could show the emergence war and how we come to find Mr. Fenix in prison at the start of the first Gears game. I suppose all we can do is wait a week to find out.
